Black Scholars Boycotting Black History Month.
If you believe the mainstream media, you would think that there is a vast multitude of black leaders who are boycotting speaking engagements and events during February - Black History month. They claim they they are tired of being "pimped-out" in February then forgotten the rest of the year. Well boo-fucking-hoo. Maybe you don't get invitations during the rest of the year because you are shallow year round. Anyway, don't believe the hype. There are only a handful of uppity "scholars" (whose shit don't stank) that feel they are too good to go to Black History Month events. Well fine if you want to be like that. See people, these are the same rare Negroes you will also find planted behind George Bush or Dick Cheney at their speaking engagements. Planted strategically so that they show up grinning on the tv and in print. 5,000 white people in the audience and 3 of "us" right over the shoulder of the President or maybe even next to him on a stool. Please. Well, check out more on this story with our friends over at BlackAmericaWeb. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.
