Troops Say Pull Out

Day in and day out, the Bush White House and it's cronies say that we are winning the war in Iraq and on terror. After a historic mosque was bombed in Baghdad, protests and riots broke out in mass. An American General said that the reports of mosque burnings and violence was over hyped in the media. We saw the destruction and he says there was none. 72% of troops polled in Iraq said we should be out by the end of 2006. Military recruitment is down miserably. Why? Because though young people love the United States and would die to defend it, they realize that the War in Iraq is George's bullshit based on lies. They don't trust or believe in the Commander-in-Chief. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

UAE royals, bin Laden's savior's

The Central Intelligence Agency did not target Al Qaeda chief Osama bin laden once as he had the royal family of the United Arab Emirates with him in Afghanistan, the agency's director, George Tenet, told the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks on the United States on Thursday. Had the CIA targeted bin Laden, half the royal family would have been wiped out as well, he said.

President George Bush wants to turn over our ports to an Arab government. To the same people who have direct ties with terrorism and Osama bin Laden no less. The Bush's and Royal Saudi's have been doing business with each other for decades. This bitch has been an utter failure as a president and the 8 years this bunch stole from the American people will become known as the Dark Years. Find out more about the UAE and it's terror ties. White House Spokesman: "Arab port deal not on the presidential level."

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan acknowledged Wednesday that Bush did not know about the sale of the six major port operations to a Dubai company until after Administration approval had been granted. 'This didn't arise to the presidential level,' McClellan said. 'You have all the security departments that are involved in this, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Department of State. You have the National Security Council that is part of this process, too. And there are representatives from each of those departments and agencies that participate in this process, some 12 departments and agencies that are involved.' McClellan added, 'If there have been concerns about national security threats, then I am sure that additional steps would have been taken."

Let me repeat, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said that turning over 6 major American ports, "Didn't arise to the presidential level." Really now. We are in a War on Terror and the Presidents spokesman says turning over our ports to Saudi's who were 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers is not on the presidential level? Excuse me? Tell that to the families of dead American troops. Tell that to the families of those killed on 9/11. Tell that to the 100,000 plus dead Iraqis. This further proves that George W. Bush is a puppet for Dick Cheney and James Baker. George does what he is told. Impeachment time. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Even Worse? Bush Unaware of Ports Deal Before Approval

President Bush was unaware of the pending sale of shipping operations at six major U.S. seaports to a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates until the deal already had been approved by his administration, the White House said Wednesday. I don't believe for a second that Bush did not know. BUT, if that is the Karl Rove spin, it shows that Bush is utterly disengaged with our nations security and can no longer be trusted with our nations best interest. If Bush was unaware and uninvolved with this major deal, then how can he basically tell both Republicons and Democrats to go to hell and use his first Veto to make ensure that Arabs indeed take control of 6 major U.S. ports? Bush is really looking out for us huh? Wink wink, nod, nod. Everything changed after 9/11. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

15 of the 19 9/11 Hijackers were from Saudi Arabia but now Bush thinks it's ok to turn over control of 6 major U.S. ports to the Arabs.

15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, yet your President George W. Bush wants to turn over operations of 6 major U.S. ports to the Saudi government. The same guy who Congress deemed a failure during the Katrina response, Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff says that the multi-billion dollar deal with the Arabs was reviewed thoroughly. The Bush White House spin is, "Who are we to discriminate against the Arab's?" What kind of "mixed-signals" do you think this sends to our troops? Congressmen, Senators and Governors both Republicons and Democrats have come out against the plan. The only Governor to agree with President Bush that the deal sounds fine is none other that Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Scared yet? I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

The Bush White House has at least 2 financial ties with the Arab government controlled Dubai Company set to take over 6 U.S. ports. The Bush Administration is all about making money. Bush: Sleeping With The Enemy & Selling Out America

President Bush said Tuesday that a deal allowing an Arab company with terrorist links to take over six major U.S. seaports should go forward and that he would veto any congressional effort to stop it. What the White House glosses over is the fact that the Arab company in question is owned by the Saudi government. Both political parties have spoken out strongly against the plan for obvious security reasons. The White House did not even consult with Congress on this deal. George says Congress knew last November and anyone concerned should have said something then. Yeah, just like he consulted Congress on his illegal wiretaps.

For Bush to so quickly say that he will veto any congressional effort to stop it means that he is on the take. He has not used his veto power in 5 years. For him to make such a bold statement again shows the obvious. He has sold out America. But nobody should be surprised, these bastards have been lying to us and selling us out since they stole the fucking White House in 2000 and 2004. We are in a War on Terror right? People around the world are laughing their asses off at us. The White House and it's paid for cronies like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh are saying that those speaking out against this are just racist against those in the Middle East. What kind of fucking weak ass spin is that? The same cronies endorsing this Arab port deal are the same people saying that we can't trust the democratically elected Hamas in Palestine.

It is time for Americans to unite and get rid of these rat bastards in Washington who are literally destroying this nation for their own greedy agendas. That goes for radical republicans and weak, wishy-washy democrats. Do you think turning over operations & security of 6 of our major ports to Arabs might be sending mixed signals to the troops? I'm Chaz Atlas and you should be outraged. Throw the bastards out! Impeach, Impeach, Impeach!

Misuse of Funds in Iraq Projects

A new audit of American financial practices in Iraq has uncovered irregularities including millions of reconstruction dollars stuffed casually into footlockers and filing cabinets, an American soldier in the Philippines who gambled away cash belonging to Iraq, and three Iraqis who plunged to their deaths in a rebuilt hospital elevator that had been improperly certified as safe.

The War on Iraq will ultimately go down in history as one of our greatest travesty's as a nation. America, this White House and all it's cronies have made fortunes with our blood and billions of our hard earned tax dollars. And for what? How have Americans truly benefited from this pre-emptive strike against a sovereign nation? We haven't. They have. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

White House Working to Avoid Wiretap Probe

People. This is so pathetic. Back when Bill had his so called "scandal" with that woman Monica Lewsinsky, you would have thought the world was coming to an end if you bought into what the Republicans had to say. We went throught the impeachment process. Because Clinton lied about a blowjob. Who wouldn't lie about a fucking blowjob if they got busted? Come on. It doesn't take a legal scholar to know that Bush broke the law when he went around FISA law and courts and illegaly wire tapped phones of American citizens without court consent. Now they are trying to squash any investigation into if Bush broke the law or not. What a scam! Wake up. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

White House should explain port deal

President Bush on Monday faced political pressure to block a deal that would give a United Arab Emirates-based company management of six major U.S. seaports. Jesus Christ people, this is getting downright stupid. You have got to be an absolute idiot to genuinely believe that the Bush Administration is doing anything to help our national security. Our borders are already wide open and now he is handing over the operations keys to an Arab government. These people are dangerous. I'm talking about our people. Kids Build Soybean-Fueled Car

A car that can go from zero to 60 in four seconds and get more than 50 miles to the gallon would be enough to pique any driver's interest. So who do we have to thank for it. Ford? GM? Toyota? No — just Victor, David, Cheeseborough, Bruce, and Kosi, five kids from the auto shop program at West Philadelphia High School. Now if they can build one, why aren't we all on a waiting list? One of the kids pointed out that production of the cars would not be allowed because they would eat into the multi-billion dollar profit pie of the oil industries. Smart kid. What Has Happened to America's Jesus?

Right Wing, Republican, Fundamentalist, Christian, zealots. During the 40s, 50s and 60s, their Christian duty was to make sure the races didn't mix. You know, that Strom Thurmond, David Duke type of Christian. During the Reagan years their main rallying cry was the fight against abortion. They still line up in front of elementary & middle schools showing pictures of dead fetus. They ask, "What would Jesus Do?" Jesus wouldn't be standing outside a friggin abortion clinic holding a pic of a dead fetus!

During the 90's it was the War on The Gays. Today it's gay marriage, Terry Schiavo and the War on Christmas. So naive and so fucking wrong. These zealots vote on the most irrelevant shit and then turn around and complain because their manufacturing job has been shipped overseas and now they can't get even a little side job because those gigs are snapped up by illegal immigrants. Go Fish: Katrina response a 'national failure'

A report now confirms what we all knew. The response to Katrina was a national failure. Bush Inc. literally let those people sit for 5 days. Finally support arrives in New Orleans and evacuates the residents to all 50 states. Then Bush waived the Davis-Bacon Act which would have guaranteed a certain wage for people to re-build New Orleans so his buddies could use illegal immigrants and make more money. 1,300 people were killed. There are still over 3,000 people missing. You don't hear about the missing (which are dead) because that would put the total killed well over 4,000. That would surpass the number killed on 9/11. We can't have that now can we. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Indicted Rep. Tom DeLay, forced to step down as the No. 2 Republican in the House, scored a soft landing Wednesday as GOP leaders rewarded him with a coveted seat on the Appropriations Committee. This is ok with you people? This fucker gets indicted, loses his leadership position and they give him coveted spots on the Appropriations Committee. Who will feel budget's impact?

With President Bush's new budget for America, Medicaid recipients can expect higher copayments and deductibles. College students may face higher interest rates on student loans, as lenders are squeezed. Work requirements for women on welfare are likely to be tightened. Tony Blair is pulling thousands of British Troops from Iraq

The British government has drawn up a secret plan to begin withdrawing 2,000 soldiers - a quarter of its total forces - from Iraq this spring. What happened to the mighty Coalition of the Willing? We had a real coalition during the Gulf War because there was a clear violation and the mission was clear. The Coalition of the Willing during the invasion of Iraq was just a handful of nations we have under our thumb or could pay off. As you can now see, we had no business going into Iraq to become bogged down in guerilla warfare. But we had to have our troops there to protect our new oil fields and pipe-line. We have to protect those record profits against terrorist and hurricanes.

More Halliburton Hypocrisy

The only people who have benefited since Bush/Cheney literally stole the White House in 2000 have been the rich people who directly benefit through Bush's tax cuts and cheap labor. But the biggest winner of all is no doubt Dick Cheney's Halliburton. They got no bid contracts to rebuild Iraq, New Orleans and now more torture camps. New Orleans could lose most blacks - Hurricanes' Aftermath

Could lose most blacks? Just take a look at the footage of the 2006 Mardi Gras. It looked like a Trent Lott house party if you know what I mean. Ann Coulter Jokes About Poisoning Supreme Court Justice

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, speaking at a traditionally black college, joked that Justice John Paul Stevens should be poisoned. Coulter recently told the Philander Smith College audience that more conservative justices were needed on the Supreme Court to change the current law on abortion. Stevens is one of the court's most liberal members. "We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee," Coulter said. "That's just a joke, for you in the media."

Anyone else publicly joking about poisoning a Supreme Court Justice would be sitting in jail. Of course her comments are in true Republican spirit as the Rev. Iran said Monday it is barring CNN from working in Iran "until further notice" due to its mistranslation of comments made by the president in a recent news conference about the country's nuclear research.

Mexican President Fox - Stupid Americans

I guess Mexican President Vicente Fox thinks that Americans are just simple minded and stupid. It is easy to assume he came to this conclusion by watching how gullible and stupid we have been in believing our own President Bush. There has been stronger support as of late to erect a wall on the Mexican border to keep the illegals out. Fox wants to remind Americans that we are immigrants as well and that a fence is wrong. Let me remind Fox that Americans first came here seeking religious and political freedom . Mexicans are not coming here for that. Illegal Immigration is the greatest contributor to the Mexican economy, that is why Fox wants open borders. Bush wants them because he can provide cheap labor to all of his friends that can stroke the campaign checks. Its that simple. The United States cannot afford illegal immigration anymore. It is time to do something about it. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Group Fights Wal-Mart on 'Happy Holidays'

There was a Saturday "War on Christmas" protest organized by religious leaders including Dick Otterstad of the Church of the Divide, located in Georgetown, east of downtown Sacramento. Donning a Santa Claus costume and surrounded by a handful of supporters, Otterstad greeted shoppers with a single message: Don't forget about the meaning of Christmas.
"It is insulting that Wal-Mart has chosen to ignore the reason for the season," Otterstad said. "Taking the word Christmas out of the holiday implies there's something sinful about it. ... This is a part of our culture."

Right Wing Supreme Court ruling could steal 6,000 homes

This eminent domain came about because of a majority of conservative judges. These are GOP judicial activists at work. So, the right wing Supreme Court finally touched a nerve with Sean Hannity of Fox. I bet you some of the same people down in Florida fighting for their homes voted for W for President and Jeb for Governor. What comes around goes around people. Maybe now you can feel an ounce of how the majority of America felt when the Supreme Court handed George W. Bush the White House on a silver platter. If the White House, Congress and Governor Jeb Bush can step in and interfere with the personal family matter of Terry Schiavo, then where are they now on behalf of 6,000 Florida families about to lose their home? Is this George W. Bush's definition of compassionate conservatism? Is this what Bush & Cheney meant when they said this was an Ownership Society?

The Republican party is filled with a bunch of naive, gullible, corrupt, hypocrites in denial. When will regular Americans realize this is not a Christian White House and that Bush doesn't give a hoot about what they think. He and the entire GOP hierarchy are all about money. Period. And sadly they don't care how many lies they have to tell or lives they have to sacrifice.

Meet the Press: How I See It

Howard Dean and Ken Mehlman, chairmen of the Democrat and Republican parties were guests on Tim Russert's Meet the Press. Ken is eloquent in his denial and Howard needs to work on his bullet points. The media and Republicans are harping on the fact that the Democrats do not stand for anything. In a way they have a point. Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats have scored a few belated points recently by demanding Phase 2 of the Iraq investigation and establishing a republican dominated culture of corruption but the party needs to establish platforms that definitively establish where they stand on the issues.

Since 2006 is such an important mid-term election race for the democrats and the entire nation, the dems should have a summer convention and lay out exactly where they stand on the issues. Democrats need to also press the point to all American voters that abortion, gay marriage and intelligent design have miniscule consequence on the nation as a whole and should not dictate who we put in Congress and the White House. We are letting the likes of Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and James Dobson shape the debate of what is important in electing our leaders with wedge issues that don't mean a damn thing.

The GOP has been in congressional power since 1994. Since the republican coup of the White House in 2000, the country has been on a downward spiral. Republicans will say that no other President has had to deal with a 9/11. I don't think we would have had a 9/11 if Gore had rightfully assumed the presidency. So not only were we kicked in the nuts with 9/11 but Bush has screwed the nation on every single thing else he has done. I really can't think of one good thing the president has done for the nation as a whole. His only accomplishments beside sending the United States into an illegal war on false pre-tenses have been cheap illegal labor, tax cuts that benefit people who don't need them and pro-corporate legislation that has benefited pharmaceuticals, lawyers and oil companies.

I have been following politics since 1984 and have never seen such a culture of corruption and abuse of power. Senate Majority leader Bill Frist is under investigation. Tom Delay had to resign as House Minority leader because he was indicted for criminal conspiracy. Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff, Scooter Libby was indicted on counts of obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements. Further corruption issues remain with Ohio/Florida election fraud, no-bid contracts with Halliburton, negligence with Hurricane Katrina, lies to the nation about WMD's in Iraq, no Bin Laden, no Iraq/9-11 link, high gas prices, high unemployment, low military recruitment, rampant illegal immigration - I can keep going. A GOP Congress + a Neo-Con White House results in a nation under assault from within.

Here is my response to Tim and his guests about going into Iraq from the perspective of a regular citizen. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Tim,

Post 9/11, after going into Afghanistan and not being able to bring Bin Laden to justice "Dead or Alive" as the President promised, the Bush White House instead of "staying the course" in the hunt for Usama surprisingly decided to "change the course" and instead implicate Hussein and Iraq in connection with 9/11 and also with having WMD's that could result in a mushroom cloud over American skies.

It was reasonable to think that there "could" have been a link between Iraq, 9/11, WMD's and Bin Laden but absolutely wrong to "assume" they did.

I gave Bush the benefit of the doubt that there "could" be WMD's in Iraq but reserved my support for going into that sovereign nation until the international team of weapons inspectors confirmed with indisputable evidence and confidence that weapons had indeed been found. Instead the inspectors said they had not found anything and needed more time. Bush said we could not wait and here we are.

If a 35yo guy and his friends down in Carolina could make the right decision on Iraq, it is a shame and no excuse that both Republicans and Democrats in Congress got it wrong and continue to get it wrong.

Democrats cannot run a presidential nominee in 2008 that voted or supported going into Iraq. What's the point? ANY Republican or Democrat that voted to support Bush going into Iraq should be officially classified as negligent and gullible.

I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats in presidential elections. In 2008, I think Americans could themselves a favor and nominate tickets of McCain/Powell and Gore/Clark. America would win no matter who won.

After School Detention: Bush Staff to take Ethics Classes

After the so-called Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, George W. Bush said he would bring back ethics to the Oval Office(sigh). I knew in November of 2000 when Fmr. Sec. of State & Papa Bush partner James Baker came out of nowhere to head up the Florida recount that something was up. Baker subsequently ended up becoming the attorney for the Saudi's when they were sued by victims of 9/11 for damages. How low can you go James?

Does the President plan to attend these refresher courses? Plunging a nation into war with such weak evidence seems to be unethical to me. How about former FEMA Director Mike Brown who is still a paid consultant for the White House after his unconscionable lack of performance in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. What about Vice President Dick Cheney? Do these ethics classes reference no-bid contracts to friends of administration officials? I thought Bush was supposed to bring ethics back to the White House. To think we almost removed a President (Clinton) because of an office fling, the Oval Office albeit. The 8 year Clinton witch-hunt seems a little petty and minuscule now doesn't it? I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush White House paid Chalabi $340,000 per month for bad intel.

George W. Bush has rolled out the red carpet for Ahmed Chalabi. Most of you may be wondering just who in the hell is Chalabi or what's the big deal about his visit. Let's just say he is directly implicated to why the United States is stuck in the quicksand of Iraq. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1152AP_US_Chalabi.html

Bush used Chalabi as one of his main sources for "intelligence" in going to war in Iraq. Chalabi's "people" were the ones insisting that weapons of mass destruction were in Iraq. It was more like weapons of mass deception at the White House. We, the taxpayer paid for this chatter to the tune of $340,000 per month to Chalabi and his group. Chalabi was already cited for milking $60 million from an African Bank. I wonder if Chalabi was adding insult to injury when he helped cook up the notion that Iraq was trying to buy "yellow cake" from Niger?

Regardless, we have paid for Chalabi's research with over 2000 dead American soldiers, over 100,000 Iraqis and billions of taxpayer dollars that could be at work here at home. Well after all this deceit by Chalabi, Bush has invited Chalabi back to the scene of the crime - the White House. This welcome is as outrageous as giving former CIA Director George Tenet and the new-Iraq architect Paul Bremer the Congressional Medal of Honor. Republicans please wake up. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

GOP Plans More Outreach to Blacks.

Just a few weeks prior to Hurricane Katrina, the GOP Executive Director Ken Mehlman said the republican party would be reaching out to more Blacks. President Bush's late response and former FEMA Director Mike Brown's lackadaisical rescue and recovery effort was a grand example of what compassionate conservatism is all about.

Instead of keeping those displaced close to home, Blacks were dispersed to all 50 states to various shelters. While they were on the way out, cheap labor illegal immigrants were being brought in on government issued, white school busses with tinted windows to take construction jobs that should have gone to locals. That practice was a direct result of Pres. Bush waiving the Davis-Bacon Act which guaranteed a minimum age to local workers. This would benefit Bush's developer buddies who can make a lot more money hiring illegal immigrants under the table.

The "liberal" media ignored the fact that around 40 GOP, labor friendly senators joined democrats in over-riding Bush in getting Davis-Bacon reinstated. Don't let right wing mouth pieces tout how the Bush Administration has appointed more Blacks & minorities to high level positions than any other President. It's not about who an administration appoints, its about the policies they propose and implement. If Bush appointed Blacks that supported policies that improved the quality of life and opportunity for Blacks nationally, then Blacks should consider voting for republicans. But this White House has only implemented policies that have been detrimental to both middle & working class Americans of all racial persuasion. While Mehlman planned on outreach to more Blacks, he might want to think about reaching out to all Americans as his party and leadership is nothing but a playground of arrogance, deceit and hypocrisy.

Alabama governor calls for Aruba boycott: Enough Natalee OK?!

The ongoing onslaught of tv time devoted to missing teen Natalee Holloway is driving me nuts. It has to be one of the most overblown, undeserving stories I can ever remember. It is unfortunate she went missing. But an 18yo girl who was supposedly brought up right and has quality friends, does not get drunk and leave a bar with 3 guy strangers in a foreign land. Period. You play with fire and you get burned. Now the Governor of Alabama is calling for Alabama citizens to boycott Aruba until we can get to the truth. He will be calling for other Governors to join the Aruba boycott at an upcoming Governors conference.

As of this writing two months after the fact, there are still approximately 1,300 children either missing or not reunited with their families after Hurricane Katrina. Do you know any of their names? Any of their faces? No. So why does Natalee get all the special treatment? What makes Natalee Holloway more important than, say, Reyna Alvarado-Carerra?

In the United States alone, more than a million people are reported missing each year. The majority of these cases involve minors. The majority of those cases are runaways, but there are also significant numbers of abductions at the hands of both relatives and strangers. This brings us to the case of Reyna Gabriella Alvarado-Carerra.

Have you ever heard of her?

I certainly hadn't until I started doing research for this story. Reyna is a 13 year-old Hispanic girl who is believed to have been abducted by a stranger in Norcross, Georgia. She was abducted just a few weeks before Holloway. A Google search on her name yields a grand total of 6 results.

The same search for "Natalee Holloway" turns up 276,000 results.

But Natalee doesn't just get more Google search results. She's getting airtime, baby. As I mentioned in the intro, American news outlets are awash with a veritable cornucopia of Natalee fever. She also gets assistance from the Dutch Marines and special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who apparently already have enough resources at work battling mundane things like terrorism.

Here's the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back, and the reason I am writing this treatise: CNN is now reporting that Holland is sending three F-16 warplanes to assist in the search for Natalee. I was given pause by thinking about the sheer cost of this endeavor. My brother-in-law is a recruiter for the Air National Guard, and I have a rough idea of how much money it costs to even get one of those things off of the ground. How much do you suppose is being spent to equip these planes with the special search equipment and then actually get them to Aruba?

The disproportionate response of Aruban, Dutch, and American authorities to the disappearance of this girl can only be attributed to the disproportionate amount of media coverage. CNN, MSNBC, and (especially) Fox News feature hourly updates on the status of the investigation. They interview family members, law enforcement personnel, and representatives of the Aruban government. The case even features prominently on right-wing talk radio shows, such as the Sean Hannity Show and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. This is perhaps the most interesting aspect of the coverage: What could possibly be political about this case? Why would Hannity and O'Reilly be interested in taking away airtime from discussions about the immorality of Democrats and spend it on Natalee Holloway instead?

I can guess, and will spend the next couple of paragraphs doing so. This is mere speculation on my part; you have been warned.

The initial Fox News coverage of the story was pretty transparent, particularly on O'Reilly's show. The incident was portrayed as a lesson: "See, this is what happens when you vacation outside of America in nations with swarthy peoples." Initially, two former security guards were arrested in connection with the disappearance. O'Reilly called these two men "slugs" and lamented the fact that Aruba does not have a death penalty that they could be threatened with. Of course, it later turned out that the two had nothing to do with the abduction, and they were released. (As far as I've seen, there was no retraction or apology from O'Reilly, a man who constantly reminds us that he does not "engage in speculation" on his show.)

Things changed when the focus of the investigation shifted to 17 year-old Dutch boy Joran van der Sloot. Since the new culprit was now Whitey, the initial political spin was invalidated. Fox briefly attempted to make the story into an argument for the juvenile death penalty (even going so far as referring to van der Sloot as a "17 year-old Dutch man.") This fizzled, however, and the current focus of the coverage, at least on Fox, is the supposed ineptitude of Aruban law enforcement. O'Reilly's new favorite pastime is lambasting the Aruban authorities for not giving the media enough information about the case and for not having recovered her body yet. This despite the fact that it took over a year to find the body of Chandra Levy (and Washington, D.C. is smaller than Aruba.)

This is another case of politicians getting too personally involved in a personal issue, i.e. Terry Schiavo. Look, the notion is noble but the precedent is dangerous. If they went into Terry Schiavos hospice room, they will go into yours. There are thousands of people who have gone missing overseas and they have not received any press, much less a boycott from their home state Governor. Enough is enough. More time has been devoted to finding Natalee Holloway than Osama Bin Laden. Fuck that. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Strange Bedfellows: The Small World of DC Politics

Class if you do your modern history homework you will see that there was a republican uproar when former Pres. Clinton pardoned a guy by the name of Marc Rich right before leaving office in early 2001. Just one month after the pardon, Marc became a middleman for several of Iraq's suspect oil deals in 2001 after a UN investigation.

I'm not sure why Clinton pardoned Rich. I do not know their history or connection and actually it is irrelevant. Not giving my favorite President a pass but right is right and wrong is wrong, so if Bill was wrong then he should not have pardoned him. Regardless, Rich ended up procuring oil deals. It's so Cheney. Speaking of Cheney, here is the odd footnote. Guess who Mark Rich's lawyer was that brokered and handled the details of his pardon? None other than I. "Scooter" Libby. The "I" stands for indicted. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Another Lawyer in Saddam Trial Gunned Down: My Hussein Prediction

Another lawyer was gunned down in Iraq involved with the Iraq vs. Hussein trial. Earlier this year The Sun newspaper which happens to be owned by FOX News Owner & Bush buddy Rupert Murdoch, released "secret" photographs of Saddam Hussein in his underwear. I guess this was supposed to be a big joke or something. Haha. There was never an investigation launched as to who took these pictures. The Bush Administration, Donald Rumsfeld and the Pentagon claim they don't know who did it. I would hope that only a few, select military people would be in charge of protection, security and access to Hussein.

Here is my prediction. Saddam Hussein will be killed before his trial concludes. Killed because he will potentially talk too much about his business dealings with Donald Rumsfeld who sold him the chemical weapons he used on the Kurds back in the 80's. He will explain how he did not have any WMD's and how unbeknownst to the American public how the US started bombing Iraq 2 months before we invaded to see if we could provoke him into war. See Hussein is no fool. He understands that he won't get a fair trial or even if he did get a fair trial he knows he is not going to walk or be set free. So he will use the trial as a bully pulpit to embarrass the Bush Administration. And the Bush White House will not have that.

So when things get really bad for the White House (excuse me, worse than they are) they will once again divert America's attention in a major way, i.e. the London Tunnel Bombing. This calculated diversion will be the murder of Saddam Hussein. Who will do it? Some Kurd or Iraqi military person "pawn" who works at the undisclosed facility they are holding Hussein. This pawn's family will have directly suffered at the hands of Hussein. Maybe his father was tortured or his whole family was killed, Rove will think of something. The pawn will assume that with the trial possibly being moved that Hussein might try to escape and Allah told him to take justice into his own hands. The killer will probably be killed in a shoot out with other guards before he can tell his story, i.e. Lee Harvey Oswald.

Call me a left-wing wacko, conspiracy nut if you want to. This whole Administration is nothing but a conspiracy. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Brown joked in e-mail as Katrina churned.

Just as I knew it. Mike Brown is a bitch. While people were stranded and dying in New Orleans after Katrina, FEMA Director Brown was more concerned with his wardrobe for his television interviews and who his dog sitter was going to be. What a bitch. Any punk ass republicans still want to support this punks performance? An investigation produced Brown's pathetic e-mails during Katrina. This is an outrage. Iraq war is likely to go on trial along with Libby

Libby, Libby, Libby. Ok, the wingers are hard at work trying to blame everybody for this White House mess except those who broke the law. Bill Clinton, Ambassador Joe Wilson, his wife ex-CIA operative Valerie Plame, OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson..everyone except Libby, Cheney, Miller or whoever else actually involved are the "victims". Quite simply, republicans are in a perpetual state of denial. They can do no wrong. They feel this way because they believe in God and the American flag. Bush is for God and country, so any other viewpoint must be against God and country. Well that's what Rush, O'Reily, Hannity, Coulter and every other right wing extreme pundit says.

The bottom line is that these *uckers are cold busted. Wilson/Plame was smeared because he basically squashed the notion that Hussein was trying to buy some yellow cake from Niger. That was a lie. You remember the 16 words from W's State of the Union in 03 that he was supposed to have taken out. We went to war based on lies. It has caused thousands of deaths. I still can't believe that people were so gullible in excepting the notion that Hussein was knee deep in a WMD program. The weapons inspectors said that they had not found anything and that they needed more time. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld were intent on going in though. And here we are. We could have just contained Hussein with a couple of carriers and a few destroyers. The truth is slowly trickling out like a leaky faucet. Enough is enough. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

The Ohio GOP/Bush Indictment you did not hear about.

Geez, the Bush people are just cranking out the hits! Didn't W say when he was running in 2000 that he wanted to bring dignity and ethics or something back to the Oval Office? When you elect a bunch of connected, self-righteous, hypocrites who want to do nothing but make that money - you get what you have. Bullshit.

You did not hear about this on the radio, tv or newspaper. This is a significant idictment but you heard nothing on the news. I know that the Libby Indictment was going down and FEMA blew it in FL after Wilma and Harriet Miers had to withdraw, so there was a lot on the news. In as much, I was able to get updates on Natalie Holloway still missing in Aruba and found out former DC Mayor Marion Barry was back in court for something but who knows. This story was much more significant and news worthy because it involves illegal funds that very well may have changed the outcome of the 04 election. Ohio was in question but the media ignored it so there was no investigation.

Here is the lowdown. This crony just got indicted for illegally funneling $45,000 into George W. Bush's 2004 re-election campaign. Oh yeah, it happen in Ohio of all places. That's right. The fat lady hasn't even taken the stage yet. The corruption is far from over.

Hurricane Wilma - When a Bush cares

When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf early this September, many people laid blame at Mayor Nagin of New Orleans and Louisiana Gov. Blanco. The media, politicians and pundits were quick to point out how successful Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was with relief efforts after 4 hurricanes hit Florida in 2004. So if Bush did such a good job in 04 and we all learned about rescue & relief efforts after Katrina, why so much of a mess with Hurricane Wilma in 2005? It's an easy answer. Come on, you can figure it out. 2004 was a presidential election year. These country clubbers do what they need to do and only when they have to do it. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Sorry Harriet. It just won't work out.

Things must really be in a free fall at the White House. George W. Bush nominating Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court was an extremely incompetent move on many levels. It also proved something a thing or two:

1) Karl Rove & Dick Cheney have been obviously pre-occupied with their own scandals and were not thinking clearly when they offered her name for the Court or

2) George W for the first time took his own initiative to do his homework, brainstorm and think of a good nominee by himself and without the help of Uncle Dick and cousin Karl. George gets his big chance to prove he is a big boy and his legal nanny Harriet was the only genius he could think of to put on the high court. (Sigh). Next.....

George really knows how to anoint and appoint the wrong people for the wrong jobs. Mike Brown should never have been head of FEMA overseeing our nations emergency preparedness. Likewise, Harriet Miers should have never been put in the position she was by her friend George. What an buffoon. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Idea for Democrats in 2006: Midterm Convention

America should do itself a big favor and reject the GOP republican majority Congress in 2006.

Republicans are too radical, i.e. - Terry Schiavo.

Republicans are too wreckless, i.e. - War in Iraq.

Republicans are too gullible, i.e - WMD's and the Bin Laden-Hussein link.

How about hypocritical? This GOP Congress salivated at the notion of impeaching a President - Bill Clinton, for a personal affair in the office. The republicans were upset because Bill lied about his affair "under oath". Big fucking deal. You hear nothing from them about investigating their own damn party. Republicans set the stage with investigation into frivolous issues like Monica and White Water. That is why they look so fucking stupid trying to defend their own party for extreme abuses. Think about the severity of actions by George Bush, Karl Rove, Bill Frist, Tom Delay, Dick Cheney, Paul Bremer, Scooter Libby, Mike Brown, Jeff Gannon..(phew - there are more.) What about the Downing Street Memo? No WMD's? No Bin Laden. We are suffering with high gas prices, a huge deficit, low military enrollment, failure in Iraq, diminished international regard and respect, a major racial divide, out of control evangelicals - enough is enough.

Give the democrats a shot again in 2006. In 2006 and 2008, my conscious will not let me vote for any democrat that gave Bush authorization to go into Iraq. So as much as I like you Joe Biden, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton - you gave Bush the power and thus I can't back you if you run for President. There simply was no credible evidence to give Bush the authority to go into Iraq. Now the once shining city on the hill is dirty and corrupt thanks to Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, James Baker and your democrat vote.

With such consequential issues on the table, the democrats might do themselves some good by having a mid-term election convention. If they did it right, it could be a good opportunity to point out how much of an utter, complete, corrupt and miserable failure this George W. Bush Administration has been. I think the biggest insult of all is the fact that Bush stole the election in both 2000 and 2004.

I think the major platforms should be - 1) An Immediate but incremental withdrawal from Iraq. 2) Combat Illegal Immigration. 3) Fight corruption & fraud. That is a start. Keep it short, sweet, fair and timely. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it. See you in Congress.

Why George Bush picked Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court

I did not realize that right-wing, radical republicans had such a hard-on for Sandra Day O'Connors spot on the Supreme Court. Those people live to stop gay marriage and overturn Roe v. Wade. Was John Roberts just a "gimme" to Bush? Roberts had no paper-trail either and went so far to say that Roe v. Wade was the "Law of the land".

But when Bush picked Harriet you would have thought the world had come to an end. Right wing pundits and listeners to their radio and cable shows have been calling in by the droves to basically bitch slap both George for his incompetence in picking her and Harriet herself for being in over her intellectual head. Why are they surprised now? Bush & Company have been doing nothing but appointing lawyers to positions of importance that they have zero experience in. Paul Bremer in Iraq, Mike Brown at FEMA and a host of others. Hell, Bush himself did not have the experience to be President. W was a puppet Governor in Texas for 5 years and then his brother, Florida Governor Jeb Bush hands him that states electoral votes on a silver platter in 2000 and his dad, Dick Cheney and James Baker handed him the Supreme Court decision not to count all of the Florida votes.

So right wing republicans have raised their ugly "Christian" heads. I hope this riff in the GOP costs them Congress in 2006. But why did George do it? Out of all the people he could have chosen, he picked another Texas crony who was on the Dallas City Council and ended up being Georges personal lawyer in the White House. Some resume.

The reason George picked Harriet is because he knows that his own personal corruption, conspiracy and abuse of power case might end up before that very court. George & company do not want a legal genius deciphering the Constitution when his ass will be on the line. They want someone who will do exactly what the fuck they tell them to do. They need their own hand picked "bitch" on the court (no pun intended) who will take their talking points and hand delivered White House opinions and put them on Supreme Court letterhead. That political prostitute happens to be Harriet Miers. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bill Bennett: "Abort every black baby and the crime rate would go down."

"Values Czar" William Bennett was Secretary of Education for President Ronald Reagan and Anti-Drug Chief in the Bush 41 White House. He has written several best selling "virtue" books including The Book of Virtues, Moral Compass: stories for a Life's Journey and the Children's Book of Virtues. Bill is considered one of the Republican Party's big brains. On his radio show, Bill basically made the comment to a caller that, "You could abort every black baby in America and the crime rate would go down. It would be reprehensible, but the crime rate would go down." It is difficult to know how to even respond to a comment like that. Bennett seems to be yet another prominent republican making some extremely racial comments. Let's not forget how W's mother, sweet ole Barbara Bush state that most of the "refugees" were better off on a cot in the Astro Dome in Houston than when they were back in the Big Easy. After people had already being stranded for 4 days in New Orleans, Sen. Trent Lott said, "I don't think this is a time for people to be complaining." I guess he was upset he lost his beach house to Katrina. Lott, lost his position of Senate Majority Leader because of saying, "If we had elected Strom president, we wouldn't have had all these problems." Of course Strom Thurmond ran for President in 1948 as a blatant, racist Dixie-Crat. In Greenville, SC a Greenville Technical College Vice President of 20years Renee Holcombe said in two closed door meetings that "I can't believe we have to deal with these yard apes. That was after hearing New Orleans evacuees would be enrolling in school at Tech. Even Sec. of State Condoleeza "Dirty" Rice is getting in on the act. Dirty grew up in Alabama during the height of the civil rights movement. 4 little girls her own age were killed when a racist threw a bomb into their church. In a recent interview when asked what kind of memories of the civil rights movement she had she said at the time all she did was "play piano and ice skate." Rice said she didn't focus on what she now calls the "counter-culture." I guess this is why our Sec. of State went to a Broadway comedy and bought thousands of dollars worth of shoes while people were dying in New Orleans. Bennett's remark falls on the heals of the big question of why it took the Bush Administration 5 days to rescue thousands of stranded people, mostly minority, from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Racism is so alive in America. The right wing, radical, conservative, evangelical movement in America is no better than the Aryan attitude of the Hitler regime. If you are a republican and have a heart and a conscious, you have to denounce this racism. Remaining silent means you are a part of the problem. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Al Gore 08

America needs a fundamental change of leadership in Washington, DC. Republicans have been in control of Congress since 1994 and we are not better off for it. Our best bet for a presidential ticket is Al Gore and Wesley Clark. I will elaborate more later. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

What Opposition Party?

The leading democrat contenders for President in 2008; Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards and Joseph Biden have one thing in common - they all voted to give George W. Bush the authorization to go to war in Iraq. I wasn't fooled with Bush's lies, so why were they? Did Colin Powell's 3D animation presentation at the U.N. mesmerize them that much? With friends like these, who needs republicans? democrats and even moderate republicans have an incredible opportunity to take back Congress from the radical right and take back the White House in 2008. If congressional & presidential candidates run on bold, distinct, common-sense platforms. Hell I'm weighing the option myself. Can you say - Congressman Atlas? :) I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

How many more Mike Browns are out there?

Here is an in-depth look at some more of the political hack appointments Bush has made. It is ok for elected officials to appoint friends and associates to positions. But at least see to it that they have the experience and smarts to actually do the job. Bush seems to just want to appoint lawyers who can find ways to make money through procurement for his friends and supporters. The American middle class and blue collar workers are getting assaulted by Bush's cronie friends. The pharmaceutical industry, oil industry, no bid contracts, Halliburton, developers, financial institutions and so many more have made a ton of money with their boy in the White House. It's all about the money. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush selling out America with Illegal Immigration and another hack nominee

You would have thought that after Mike Brown was exposed for the political hack he is, that W would have learned his lesson. These people don't learn lessons. Mike Brown was responsible for deaths during the Katrina aftermath because he did not have the experience to handle a major disaster as FEMA Director. Bush appointed him to the position. Brown's prior gig had been as the President of an Arabian Horse Association. Now Bush who has already done nothing but help illegal immigrants pour into the United States, is appointing someone with no experience to head up the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. He wants to appoint another fucking crony lawyer.

Do you know why the White House appoints so many fucking lawyers to top positions even though they have absolutely no experience in the responsibility? Because attorneys know how to twist the law for their clients and they know how to spin bullshit. They can ramble on and on about nothing which is great for the cameras. You have got to be a complete Fox news fool to support this fucker. You would think that a former Governor of a state like Texas would have a better grasp on the illegal immigration & oil crisis. You would think. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

The Dumb Ass Media: Myths of New Orleans & Other Made Up Stuff

During the aftermath of Katrina, that Wednesday, the media started pushing a lot of stories of looting, raping and shots being fired at rescue helicopters. When I heard those reports, I knew the weren't true because they just did not make any sense under the circumstances - http://chazatlas.blogspot.com/2005/09/abc-news-evacuation-disrupted-by.html

The problem with the media is that they take whatever press release they get from an official or politician and don't ask any questions. Weeks later they want to report on how the stories were exaggerated. Who exaggerated them? The damn Bush Administration - who else? Why did they spread exaggerated rumors in New Orleans? They did it to change the headlines. And what were the headlines? That thousands had been stranded with no food, water or supplies. Bush & Co. were already late getting the troops organized so they had to change the news buzz. So called journalists today are either naive or in the back pockets of conservative newsrooms. Sometimes they are both. You ever notice the media is never skeptical of people anymore? They never look at the motives of the people they are investigating.

Think of all the times the media has gotten it wrong recently. Think of how many times they have been fooled by people, simply because they did not ask any of the right questions when they were initially reporting. Think of how many stories they have done weeks or months later about not getting the story right in the first place. Let me refresh your memory: Susan Smith, The Runaway Bride, Pat Tillman, Jessica Lynch, No WMD's, No Iraq/9-11 connection, No Ben Laden-Hussein connection, Mission accomplished, The Atlanta Court House killing, I can go on forever. The rumors came from the Karl Rove propaganda machine. Don't you get it yet? This White House manipulates the media with fake news stories all the time. Just ask Armstrong Williams and Jeff Galloway. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

John Kerry - You Suck

John Kerry was the absolute worse nominee the democrats could have come up with in 2004. The DNC geniuses decided to back another Massachusetts liberal, who actually voted for Bush to have the authorization to go to war in Iraq. How weak was that. Also, John Kerry never motivated the minority base. He never reached out to or connected with them. You can't just show up at a few black churches a few weeks before the election and think we are going to vote for you asshole. He is also tall, ugly, gawky and gaunt looking. Rush Limbaugh has been right about only one thing in politics - John Kerry looks like Lerch off the Adam's Family.

Remember when that dickhead tried to look cool on the Tonight Show by driving in on a Harley? Come on dude. That's the same guy that went windsurfing in some God awful wind suit and then he really really did look like a dick. And what about his wife Theresa Heinz Ketchup. I bet she can mix it up with some prescription meds and cocktails. She looked a mess. She looked like an alcoholic. Not good for a First Lady nominee. I don't mean to hate on Kerry but he just ran a sucky campaign. He didn't even tell the Swift Boat Vets to go fuck themselves after raising some stupid, irrelevant issues about Kerry's Vietnam record.

Kerry was a pussy. You think I'm going to be a candidate and back down from some serious charges from some partisan hacks? Fuck that. I guess Kerry thought he would take the high road and not respond. Well, American's don't like pussies John. Howard Dean was the best option for Dems in 04. At least he was a clear choice for Americans who thought we should have focused on finding Ben Laden instead of going into Iraq based on Bush Administration lies. John Kerry, you screwed it up in 04, it is time for you to sit the fuck down and shut the hell up. And please don't embarrass yourself by running again in 08. You are the Great American Bore. Marketing the Military

The U.S. Army has doubled its advertising budget since 2000 to almost $290 million. Last year the federal government spent about $1.2 billion on advertising, much of it for the military. Recruitment numbers are at an all time low because young people see the nonsense of what is called the War on Terror being played out in Iraq. Recruitment numbers will increase when young people who want genuinely want to defend this great nation can once again trust their leaders. The Bush White House and right wing Congress have dealt a detrimental blow to this country. If you really support our troops, remove the right wing congressional majority in 2006. We can do our military some justice if power hungry, money motivated, lawyers and mouth pieces are thrown out of D.C. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Five Dead in U.S. Military Chopper Crash

A U.S. military helicopter "crashed" Sunday in Kabul, Afghanistan killing all 5 Americans on board. A "purported" Taliban spokesman claimed they shot the copter down but U.S. military spokesman Col. James Yonts said, "Indications are there wasn't any hostlile fire." Yeah right. Do you really think the Bush military would admit that some Afghan "thugs" with old rusty, Russian RPG's could take down our superior American aircraft? They not only don't want you to entertain that notion, they don't even want you to know the truth.

The Bush Administrations military/foreign policy/war agenda is chocked full of lies. The Rove propaganda machine blatantly lied about the WMD's, The Iraq/Hussein/Bin Laden connection, The Jessica Lynch rescue hoax, Pat Tilman being killed by "friendly" fire, Abu Ghraib cover-up, The Hussein underwear pics by Bush buddy Rupert "Fox News" Murdoch, etc.

Dick Cheney's Hurricane Halliburton

Guess what firm is first in line to rake in billions of dollars in profits from the reconstruction of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina? I know. It is insulting to even ask such a question in which the answer is so obvious. Dick Cheney's last employer, Halliburton. No surprise there. Regardless of how detrimental Congressional legislation has been to average Americans, Bush-Cheney supporters have raked in big money. Whether it was 9/11, Iraq, new Bush Bankruptcy laws, record high gas prices, the doubling of credit card payment minimums, highest prescription drug prices ever - Bush's corporate supporters have been raking in unprecedented profits. How long will Reagan Democrats now Republicans, continue to bend over for the Bush-Cheney regime? They don't care about you. They have sent your jobs overseas. You can thank the Bush White House and GOP Congress for CAFTA. They have handed your construction jobs over to illegal aliens from Mexico who are getting paid under the table. They spend their money in Mexican owned stores and send the rest back to Mexico. It is time for America to take back Congress. Vote the Congress out. They have had 12 years to fuck things up. The Contract with America turned out to be the Contract on America. Give moderate Republicans and Democrats a chance. Current Republicans have been too radical and Democrats too weak or silent. The party's over. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Republican voters, how do you feel now?

Millions of people have voted for George W. Bush. Not once but twice. What you saw in him and what you see in him will always be a question mark with me. He has been a complete and utter failure since he stole office in 2000. History will look upon the 8 Bush years as the Dark Years. His legacy will be the most corrupt and destructive presidential administration in American history. Director Michael Moore raises some very fair questions for all you proud patriots that voted for that %uck. I hope you are happy with your vote. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush White House Doubles Monthly Credit Card Payments

Well American patriots, you still happy with your vote for Bush and GOP majority Congress last November? Stupid %ucks. Votes for Bush & the radical Congress have resulted in Americans getting screwed here and abroad. Gas prices are 75% higher than when Clinton left office and Bush took over. Credit Card minimum payments are about to double. That's right. Just in time for Christmas. If you can't handle the bills then you could consider bankruptcy. That is if you can afford the new $1500-$2000 filing fee Bush tacked onto the new bankruptcy laws he recently passed with the help of the GOP dominated Congress. Utility bills, health care and prescription drugs are at an all time high. International love and reverence for the US is now completely gone. The Katrina Aftermath shows that the Bush Administration/FEMA is unable to protect its citizens after a disaster. And of course there is the War on Iraq. Thousands of American soldiers and Iraqi citizens dead over lies. Lies produced by the Bush White House and wrapped up in God and the American Flag. Why do you continue to support this dangerous idiot? So the Iraqis can have freedom? So a right wing Supreme Court can put a total ban on abortion? To ensure there will be no gay marriage amendment? So we can continue to let illegal immigration run rampant in the US? The right wing of America is willing to let the United States of America perish as we know it. Please get the word out. We have no choice but to take back Congress from the Radical Republicans. It is the only way to save what little is left of America. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it. Bush buddy/FEMA Director Mike Brown Resigns

George W. Bush loves saying in regard to the Katrina debacle, "we will have plenty of time to take a look at what went right and what went wrong." What went right? Everything the local officials and residents of the Katrina disaster zone did was appropriate and in order considering the limited resources they had. Everything the Bush Administration and George's Federal Agencies did was wrong. Bush said on the Friday after Katrina after thousands were still stranded and help was just rolling into town that Brown was doing a "heck of a job." It all started when that genius George appointed "Brownie" to the FEMA top job. Brown was not qualified in the least to head FEMA and his most previous job gig was head of the Arabian Horse Association. Now it's time for W to make another important appointment. George the genius is now appointing Judge Roberts as the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. God help us. Regardless of Brown resigning, he will need to testify and be questioned under oath about what happened and what did not happen in New Orleans. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Sen. Barack Obama says Roberts doesn't take racial issues seriously

Who does he think he is? That is what many right-wingers would ask in response to the US Senates only black member speaking out on and questioning of Bush Chief Justice nominee, Judge John G. Roberts Jr. Well to all you haters out there, Obama is a magna cum laude Harvard Law School graduate and a former top editor of the Harvard Law Review. Sen. Obama has some concerns with Roberts as do many of us. George W. Bush said that Judge Roberts was one of the "best legal minds of his generation." Like George would know. W also said that Mike Brown was doing a great job in the Gulf with Hurricane Katrina. That idiot. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush Met With Judge Roberts One Day Before Crucial Ruling on Guantanamo Military Tribunals

Here is a closer look at the history of Judge John Roberts. I have said before that I believe Roberts is quite simply the Bush Administrations Manchurian candidate. The Republicons have had their guiding hands on him since the early 80's. He is a pawn people. Right Wing politicians and media alike have gloated over the fact that democrats have a difficult time challenging his legal record because he has no "paper trail". No shit. Like everything the Bush machine produces, it is by design. I wouldn't doubt the adoption of his pristine kids as a public relations move. It completes his great American postcard picture as family man and father. Don't think im crazy. I said way before we went into Iraq that no WMD's would be found and I was right. I am right on Roberts being a bought and paid for pawn to right wing, extreme, radical republicans. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Condoleeza Rice Spends Katrina Week At Broadway Shows and Shopping On Fifth Avenue

Condoleeza "Dirty" Rice had the audacity to tell the victims of Hurricane Katrina to "Just wait, the Lord is going to come on time." http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/local_story_247155007.html
I guess that is what she was thinking as she was laughing it up at SPAMALOT on Broadway that Wednesday night as thousands were stranded in misery in Nawlins. The next day she spent thousands of dollars on shoes shopping at Ferragamo on 5th Ave. While people were told to just wait, Dirty Rice went shopping. Laughing and shopping. That's what she thinks about her people. And then she has the nerve to talk about the Lord. Condi, I am going to redirect your comments back to you. You just wait. Rapper Kanye West blasts Bush on TV benefit show: Thank you Kanye

Thank you Kanye West. How black people are portrayed in the media is an ongoing lesson in the disparity of American perception and how some people want us perceived. In regard to looting in New Orleans, stealing TV's and the like is wrong and downright dumb. But take a closer look. When looking at the footage most people are getting legitimate supplies, i.e. diapers, clothing, bread, etc. Looks like the ones who took legitimate supplies were in the right since they ended up being left behind for 5 days.
When the media showed white people taking food and supplies they referred to them as survivors desperately looking for food. When black people did the same thing they were referred to as looters and thugs. Bush calls Middle East terrorist thugs. Young black males in America have recently began to be referred to as thugs. The media then started calling the people from New Orleans who were displaced by Katrina - Refugees. Oh the looting. Nobody says shit when thousands of white college kids in Boston trashed the city after a Red Socks win over the Yanks last October; turning over cars, burning shit, breaking windows in stores and looting. They were just described as rowdy fans who took celebrating too far. Bush, while visiting Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama the Friday after the Sunday storm said on a couple of occasions that "We will help the good people in this part of the world." Huh? This part of the world? George may have done one line too many. Rick James said it best, "Cocaine is a hell of a drug."

Bush & Friends Caught in Lie

The Bush Administration cut funding from New Orleans that would have strengthened the levees that had been predicted to fail in a major hurricane. That money ended up being redirected to Bush's War on Iraq. Trust me America. This event will not be swept under the rug like the Downing Street Memo, Karl Rove and the stolen 2000 and 2004 election. This will not stand.

ABC News: Evacuation Disrupted by Gunshot Report - Bush Propaganda

I said it before in a recent posting. The wide-spread media reports of people shooting at rescue helicopters was blatant propaganda. Not one helicopter pilot reported being fired at. That was a lie put forth by the Administration officials as an excuse not to go into certain areas. They were not ready to go in yet and needed some time to buy. Trent Lott Shows His True Patriotic Colors

Former Senate Majority leader Trent Lott was on Anderson Cooper 360 today. You may remember Lott lost his Majority Leader position after saying the "The United States would have avoided all these problems if we had elected Strom Thurmond President in 1948." Thurmond was a racist Dixiecrat who ran for President in 1948. During the interview with Lott, Anderson was asking the Senator about the public being critical of the 5 day delay response in assistance. In response Sen. Lott said, "Quite frankly, this is not a time for complaining." Trent, I know you lost your beach house in Mississippi but %uck you anyway. You have a salary, house, car, future, everything that the displaced citizens (not refugees) of New Orleans do not have. This is a ranking Republican in the Senate people. It's 2005 not 1955. Karl Rove's New Orleans Propaganda Picture

Are you kidding me? Rove never skips a P.R. beat does he? Assistance to the New Orleans Convention Center arrives almost 5 days late and we are supposed to believe that the National Guard brings one pristine, American flag blanket?! Perfect prop for a photo-op! Just like when they "rescued" Jessica Lynch in Baghdad. You do know that Iraqi doctors contacted the U.S. Military and let them know they had her and she was safe and secure. The hospital she was at was safe for her pick up but Rove staged a dramatic, night time rescue. And right before they loaded her up on the helicoper someone strategicallly placed a nice new American flag on her. Light's, camera, action! http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,956255,00.html. Isn't it convenient she got amnesia when she got back.(http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,85936,00.html) You are a slime bucket Karl Rove. People appreciate the help down there, albeit way %ucking late. But Karl, you can't put your blatant, elementary, public relation stunts on hold can you? Not 9/11, not Iraq, not New Orleans. People, this is all just like the staged pulling down of Saddam's statue in Baghdad, the staged rescue attempt of Jessica Lynch, the staged capture of Hussein, The "Mission Accomplished" banner blunder and so much more. Everything is just a PR stunt with these people and you have half a nation of f%cking idiots that believes everything they hear or see. You wanted it to come to this? It's on now. Speaker Hastert: Rebuilding New Orleans under sea level makes no sense

Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert of Illinois says rebuilding New Orleans doesn't make any sense. Hastert did not even make it back to Washington to vote on the initial 10.5 billion for Hurricane Katrina's recovery & reconstruction. Why was he not there? He had a fundraiser back in Illinois. Speaker Hastert should be run out of Washington, DC. In the midst of tragedy, when help has not even arrived to those stranded in New Orleans, the Speaker questions rebuilding. This is the heart and mind set of the evil, right wing element of America. They control the White House, Supreme Court and Congress. They control many city and county councils. They are the right wing fundamentalist pastors and envangelists that call for the assassinations of foreign leaders in the name of God. This is what is wrong with the United States. This is what many of you, your friends and neighbors voted for. The same minds that sent innocent soldiers to kill innocent Iraqi citizens are the same minds that did to little to late in New Orleans. The line has now been drawn in the American sand. Either you are on the side of right, justice, reason and fairness or you are on the side of wrong, hate, spite and deception. I'm on the side of right. Either you are with me or you are against me. White House in 2003 "New Orleans has well thought out hurricane evacuation plan"

The date is August 1, 2003.

The Deputy Director of the National Weather Service John E. Jones, Jr hosted "Ask the White House". Asked if we could see another hurricane like Andrew anytime in the near future, Jones basically downplayed it as a rare event.

When asked how New Orleans could survive possible high tides and a hurricane he said, "We work with New Orleans as well as other communities along the coast to help them plan on different contingencies of how to react should hurricanes approach from different directions. Many cities like New Orleans have well thought out evacuation plans that are put into affect when certain conditions occur."

Ask the people of New Orleans how well those plans are working. Once again, I repeat, the White House said in 2003 that in the event of rising tides or a major Hurricane, the City of New Orleans had an adequate evacuation plan.

Hurricane Katrina was a national disaster. The New Orleans Aftermath is a national tragedy. It is well known that the dike's and levees in New Orleans could handle a category 3 hurricane. Officials knew as well as everyone else through the media that Katrina was a category 5. This was no surprise. The proper number of National Guard troops, supplies and assistance should have been on hold and ready to boat or helicopter in. The lack of communication among police, military and other officials is unacceptable and historic in scope.

A handful of looters in New Orleans have been used by the Media and Government officials as a scapegoat and diversion from the real story here which is - Why has it taken so long? Some Media outlets and especially politicians are using the looters as an excuse for some areas in New Orleans not getting supplies. These people have been stranded and in a life or death situation. People don't seem to be that disgusted and there is no national outcry when it is other people rioting and actually terrorizing a city after a sports victory no less. Here is one of a few examples of some Boston Red's fans : http://www.thewbalchannel.com/news/3840099/detail.html

Bush vacation cut short. Returns to Washington before expected trip to Gulf

Hurricane Katrina slammed the Gulf Region of the US last Sunday, August 28, 2005. 80%-90% of all coastal buildings from New Orleans to Biloxi Mississippi were utterly destroyed.

It is now Wednesday, August 31, 2005. President George W. Bush has yet to make public comments. He is supposed to have a 5pm press conference today but it is a little late George.

A real President would have made a public statement by last Monday, the morning after Katrina hit. Just to say his prayers were with the people and that officials on all levels were working to bring about search & rescue, clean-up and rebuilding efforts, etc.

A real President would have taken Marine One and visited the devastation locally by Tuesday.

This is not the first time a Bush was late in responding to disaster. Papa Bush was days late in responding to the effects of Hurricane Andrew. Papa Bush was also days late in acknowledging the LA Riots after The Rodney King verdict. George W delivered a half hearted initial response after the Asian Tsunami hit in late 2004. Come to think of it, W was on vacation that time as well.

And don't you just love how the White House is spinning the story that George is cutting his "working" vacation short? Boo fucking hoo. The day GW left for vacation in Crawford, 14 Marines were killed in Afghanistan. Remember that? Bush has been on more vacation than any other President in history. He has been in Crawford vacationing for almost 5 weeks straight already. Well thanks George for taking the time out and interrupting your much needed vacation time. (sigh) I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush's New Bankruptcy Law

Dear Republicans. You voted for Bush. He implements a new bankruptcy law with the help of the GOP dominated Congress that does nothing but help out banking institutions and attorneys. After October 17th, 2005, it will cost between $1500 and $2000 to just file for bankruptcy. Wouldn't you think that someone who can't handle their financial obligations already would have a problem paying a couple of thousand dollars to a lawyer to just file for bankruptcy? You would think. Typical of a "president" with big business interest in mind. Read on. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bush appeals to public not to waver in Iraq

Dear W,

While I have not seen you on tv with a statement about the massive devastation of Katrina (which will end up having a larger US impact than 9/11), you had time to speak to a screened audience in San Diego to appeal for more support for your war. George, no one is buying your Everything's changed since 9/11 sales & marketing pitch anymore. You love saying "We will not be deterred." Who the heck is we? Why don't you put on your flight suit and take your butt over there. Then it will be we. Mission Accomplished remember? Dick "The Veep" Cheney, since the insurgency has been in it's last throes for a few months now, why don't you go over there as well? I guess you are too busy with your oil & energy pals figuring out how you can milk the nation as much as you can with record high gas prices. You, Papa Bush and James Baker are running the show anyway. W is just a puppet.

Back to you George W. You don't want Americans to waver because of the rising death toll. You say our US credibility is at stake. George, because of your war mongering, election stealing, oil grabbing, no WMD's ass - the United States already has no credibility. You tell us that Iraq is the modern day equivalent to our struggle with Japan in WW2. Oh really? I guess that was your bright Freudian way of saying tens of thousands more American soldiers will have to die and/or you plan on dropping a couple of nukes in Iraq. Tell you what. Iraq Constitution Within Two Days
The Iraqi Constitution being completed in two days means nothing. Do you think the insurgents are just waiting for the constitution to be ratified and parliament put in place and then everything will be fine and well? Did the death and destruction cease after the Iraqi elections last year? Nope. But it made a damn nice photo-op for George W. Bush. Everyone with their purple index finger they got to wave at the State of the Union speech. How patriotic and cool. Meanwhile back in Baghdad, things are bad. Conditions are worse than when Hussein was in power. The infrastructure has been decimated everywhere. It's ok though because Halliburton will rebuild everything nicer. And the American tax-payer is footing the over-inflated bill. The Iraqi Constitution will ultimately be put in place. Innocent Iraqi's and American soldiers will none the less continue to die for a lie. The War in Iraq is a right-wing, neo-con, billion dollar lie soaked in oil, blood and republican votes. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

FOXNews.com - U.S. & World - Report: Brazilian Shot by London Cops Didn't Run

I hate to say I told you so but I told you so. Reports now officially show that innocent victim Jean Charles de Menenez was murdered in cold blood in the London subway. He was not wearing a puffy jacket and was not running from the police. London officials said it was a deadly mistake but oh well. Others may be killed they said. Look people, Jean wasn't murdered for nothing. He saw something he was not supposed to see. I think he saw the people who really planted the napsack bombs. That is why there is no video or pics coming from the city with the most surveillance cameras. It would show the truth.

Cindy Sheehan - Political Pawn?

Cindy Sheehan, mother of U.S. Marine and 24yo Casey who was killed in Iraq, has become the face of America that is tired of being in Iraq for a lie. Republicans have typically begun to attack her personally. As of 8/15/05, W has an approval rating of 42%. Lower than both Reagan and Clinton at the same point in their second terms. 54% of Americans believe that sending troops into Iraq was a big mistake. When the right-wing can’t argue with the message, they attack the messenger – in this case Casey’s mom Cindy.

In every single interview given, GOP politicians, pundits and network media have now began to say that Cindy is not genuine and just a pawn or tool for the likes of liberal, left-wing loonies, i.e. Michael Moore, MoveOn.org and Commondreams.org. What is so pathetic and obvious though is that the same right-wing politicians and pundits never asked the parents of Terry Schiavo if they had become tools of right-wing groups like James Dobson’s Focus on the Family or Tony Perkins Family Research Council. What about the SwiftBoat Vets during the 04 Presidential election? Were they not conveniently used by the GOP to bash John Kerry? White House/Bush Co lawyer Ben Ginsburg was simultaneously working for the Bush re-election campaign and the SwiftBoat Vets which was illegal. He had to resign. But he also joined the ranks of Dick Morris and other smeared DC insiders to get commentating jobs on Fox and MSNBC. If the media was so liberal wouldn’t they be reminding the republicons that they did not seem to have a problem when Perkins and Dobson blatantly and shamelessly used Terry Schiavo for their own fundraising and PR agendas?

Call it short term memory or spite. Stop insulting my intelligence. Hypocrites.

Military Families Speak Out: Cindy Sheehan is Not Alone
You would think by watching the corp. media news that Cindy Sheehan was a lone nut of a mother, being manipulated by the likes of MoveOn.org, Michael Moore and everybody besides themselves that they blame for everything. Not true neo-cons. Now when Tony Perkins of the Hateful People Family Research Council invaded Florida on "behalf" of Terry Schiavo...now that was some serious manipulation. Meanwhile, back at the ranch. If CorpMedia told the truth they would find several families on site in Crawford, TX standing with Ms. Sheehan and questioning this War-for-Oil scandal. Since the networks won't point it out. I will. Check out this link. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

There are hundreds of thousands of missing people in the US as we speak. Corporate Media gave more time to a faked abduction in Jennifer Wilbanks than 99% of legitimate missing persons cases. Bush's immigration proposal is unwise - Articles - THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE FOUNDATION
What made the United States great was our desire to be home to people from all over the world that wanted to experience the American dream. Well the American dream is turning into a nightmare. We are 20 years behind in addressing illegal immigration. As I have stated before, our troops need to be on our borders, not Iraq. George W. Bush blew a perfect opportunity in the hours after 9/11 to lock the borders down. But no. His proposals for "amnesty work permits" did nothing but provide a spike in illegal border crossings. 76% of democrats and 82% of republicans want real, tough illegal immigration policy. You would think that a former Texas Governor (GW Bush) would have a better grasp on issues like illegal immigration & oil/gas prices. You would think that the suckers who voted for him would put 2 and 2 together as well. I guess denial and spite is winning the war on truth. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

N.Y.politicians support profiling in terror checks
"They all look a certain way," said NY state Assemblyman Dov Hikind a Democrat from Brooklyn. Hikind supports racial profiling instead of random passenger checks on city subways. I guess I am a suspected terrorist myself huh? Or I think the Dept. of Homeland Insecurity might call me a Person of Interest. I mean look at my picture. I fit the pic of America's persona of the typical terrorist, Islamic extremist or thug.

Brown skin male between the age of 18-35. They could put some grainy pic of myself on TV and say that I was subject of an intense search in NY, LA, London, wherever. I could be 26yo, Rashid Muhammad Alrighty, wanted in connection with the 7/7 London bombing and possibly had a role in the failed 7/21 bombing. Officials say that British Intelligence(?) have heard Islamic chatter that Alrighty was helping plan a possible mid-August "dirty-bomb" attack in the harbor of Charleston, SC. Corporate Media could whip up a nice little story and apply the pic of any young man of color.

We all look a certain way right? Jean Charles de Menenez was shot in the head 8 times by plain clothes police in the subway of London. Jean had absolutely nothing to do with the 7/21 dog and pony show. The problem was according to Dov Hikind and others, he looked a certain way. I had always wanted to visit London. Damn shame that won't happen any time soon.
(*DISCLAIMER*) - Before any FBI, CIA, Homeland Security or other agency pin head(s) possibly monitoring my blog jumps to any conclusions - I am not sending secret messages or code to any of my sleeper cell friends. There are no sleeper cell friends. I heard about the mid-August, Charleston scenario on late night conspiracy radio. And no I'm not telling my London cell that I'm laying low for a while. I have no London friends. So no need to run up on me in your Crown Vics and Raybans. That's how they think people.

Anyway, I was in NYC in late June with some great friends of mine and we had a blast. Currently living below the Mason-Dixon line as I do, it was refreshing to be amongst so much diversity and culture. I thought how beautifully tolerant you almost have to be to live there. Using the Metro was efficient, convenient, educational and a lesson in toleration unto itself. A large percentage of fellow passengers I saw looked just like me. Everyone got along fine. Sadly, Corporate Media and the Bush Administration want you to remain in a constant state of fear, suspicion and paranoia. You see they sell more prescription drugs if you are always freaked out about something.

Dov Hikind wants to have me stopped and searched because I am a supposed to be a threat. He probably thinks I am a bleeding heart, left-wing, liberal whacko, democrat as Rush Limbaugh would describe me. Actually Dov in the first presidential election I could vote in, I voted for G.H. Bush. I vote for the person and position, not party affiliation. I was an intern in the Bush 41 White House (Office of Presidential Boards & Commissions). And no, I am not Muslim. I am a spiritual person. I am the son of a Baptist preacher and grew up in the south and in the church. I believe in separation of Church and State. Even more I believe separation in Church and Hate.

Talk to your friends about racial profiling and tell them how unfair it is and how profiling creates unwaranted animosity between tax-payting, law abiding, hard working Americans. It was Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph that blew up the Oklahoma City Federal Building, abortion clinics and the 1996 Olympic Park in Atlanta. I don't remember the profiling of young white males after those terrorist attacks and that's what they were - terrorist attacks.

I guess they did not fit the profile of a potential terrorist - like me. I'm Chaz Atlas and That's How I See It.

Plans For Troop Reduction - Whats Really Going On
Why did I have to get this crap from another friggin British memo? If you have not figured out by now that British Intelligence ain't hitting on shit then you need to think about it. British Intel told George W. and his folks that Iraq was trying to buy some of that Sara Lee (i.e., yellow cake or Uranium) from Africa. That was bushshit. British Intel did not hear any chatter and had no clue that 7/7 or 7/21 (London Bombings) were going to occur. Strike two, more BS.

On 7/22, the day after Wag the Dog Part II (UK Re-Mix), 20 UK police officers, many of which were in plain clothes, ran down and shot in cold blood Jean Charles Menenez. 8x in the head. That kid was gunned down like that because he saw something he wasn't supposed to see. He saw one of those boys from that Halliburton Special Opps Unit place that napsack down. He called them out but then he noticed people started chasing after him and that is when he ran and screamed, "What is wrong with these people?!". He saw too much. The London 7/7 and 7/21 strike were too clean. No fire and brimstone. No smoke and charred stuff. Have you not wondered why you have not seen any pictures or video from the "tube"? Wonder why the one subway car that was bombed was all wrapped up in blue Reynolds wrap? The MeDia always loves graphic video and pics from terrorist attacks. Those graphic pics and vids sell a lot of ads. I haven't seen shit from London except the pic of that 7/7 double decker bus that was neatly ripped into. That didn't look like all the "hallmarks of Alquida" to me.

When the AlQ blows shit up, they really blow shit up. Blood, fire, body parts, mayhem all over the place. Nope. The London bombings, attacks, whatever you want to call them were too damn clean and convenient to me. Have you not wondered why we have not seen more images of the destruction and deaths, than in the "hunt" for who did it? I have seen countless hours of the same video loop of UK police standing outside an apt building or subway entrance. To hell with that.

Why have we not seen any pics or video from the 7/22 murder of Jean Charles Menenez? London has the most sophisticated surveillance system in the world. You have not seen any pictures or video because you would come to the conclusion that this kid should not have been killed as he was. Why did they not kill any of the other Muslims they have arrested in connection with the bombings on the spot? Anyway. As a result of this charade we have re-signed the Patriot Act, NYC has started random searches on the subway, Italy can now randomly search and scan people's cookies in the hunt for terrorists and London is looking at taking away some civil liberties there. Wake up homosapiens.

Oh, I almost forgot. The real reason there is talk of troop reduction starting April/Spring 2006 is the mid-term primary elections. They know things are bad, getting worse and just want their incumbents to have the ability to say we are winning the war...excuse me "struggle" and that we are bringing our sons and daughters home. Amen. God bless America. The Iraqi forces we have been training are not interested in defending Iraq. They are just waiting for us to leave. I don't blame them. We should not be in Iraq anyway. I think a mall rent-a-cop troop could do a better job than those 3,168 Iraqis we have trained. Have you not seen the video from TV? They look horrible. The trained Iraqi troops look like the Bad News Bears. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

The Democrats 2008 Choice: Sell Out & Lose, Or Stand Up & Win
This awesome article by David Sirota expresses my sentiments in having a Democrat nominee in 2008 that stands for something. That means not trying to sound, look and vote like a Republican. Democrats had a fighter in Howard Dean in 2004. He was the only candidate that stood firm against the War on Iraq. Dems ended up nominating John Kerry who was about the absolute worse candidate to have. Sure he was Vietnam War hero. He dodged bullets from the VietCong but got punkd by the SwiftBoat Vets? He never defended himself. After Ohio was in question he didn't even fight for our vote. Damn I miss Bill.

Not only did Kerry vote for the War on Iraq, he never ever connected with minority groups on the grass roots level. Kerry never gave people hope. Just a boring, monotone speech. The Republicans claimed week in and week out to be salivating at the thought of Bush running against Howard Dean. Sadly, enough gullible, Demwits took the GOP bait.

Some bullshit poll comes out a week or so before the New Hampshire primary citing that Dean was down 13 points and both Kerry and Edwards had surged ahead dramatically because of their new positive messages. What new positive message? They had been giving the same damn stump speech in NH for more than a year. Dean got screwed in New Hampshire. I don't know if it was a bogus poll that the right wing corporate media ran with or if they had electronic voting machines that played with the numbers. Bottom line - Dean got screwed.

Now here were are gearing up for 2008 and the Democratic nomination is already wrapped up by Hillary Clinton - So says every damn Republican pundit, commentator, politician - everybody. The GOP is up to their slick tricks again. That is what they want you to think people. This time around it is reverse psychology. They really do want to run against Hillary. They want you to think Hillary has the nomination on lock so that you will not bother with sending a donation to another candidate. Maybe you will think twice about listening to a speech or attending a rally for another candidate.

The reason they are telling you she is the nominee is because they know she has become HillaryLite and is basically trying to suck up to a larger voting audience. Plus she is ahead in polls because of name recognition, not because she is the best candidate. She has not been passionate about anything in particular that I can think of and has watered herself down to be almost a moderate republican wannabe. She has to though because her negatives are just as high as her name recognition points.

I'm not a Hillary hater by any means. Even though the Supreme Court handed the White House to George W. Bush on a silver platter, the right wing could not keep Hillary out of the US Senate. All I am saying is that Hillary is no Bill and she cannot win the White House in 2008. I think she would be a dynamic Vice President though. The first female Vice President and the wife of Bill Clinton to boot. The GOP would just be sick about it.

I will be commenting on the 2008 race off and on as the the story begins to unfold. As of today though, here is my dream nomination matchup. GOP: John McCain & Colin Powell vs. DEM: Al Gore & Hillary Clinton. I think America would get better under either Administration. I know Al as the Dem nominee sounds crazy to you but I just don't have the time or space to elaborate on him right now. But I will.

It is time to stand up Dems. America is at the crossroads. Which way you want to go? I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Paging Mr. Rove - Mr. Rove you have a call on line 1
Hello Karl? Yeah, this is Chaz Atlas. I know you were probably in another propaganda strategy session but I would like you to please answer some questions about your involvement in leaking the identity of a CIA agent to the media. That is illegal stuff Karl. From what I have gathered, the CIA agent was a female. The reason you outed her is because her husband also involved in government/politics, spoke out against the War on Iraq prior to the US going in because there was no evidence Iraq had WMD's. That is probably good enough reason for you to retaliate against him knowing your ruthless political tactics going back years. Now I know the standard response by someone like yourself is to simply call the accusations ludicrous and deny them. But you really need to elaborate a bit more. Your time is coming bud.

Justice cannot be denied. Whether it happens in 2005 or when you choke on a pepperoni when you are 80. What comes around goes around. Just ask Edgar Ray Killen of Philadelphia, Mississippi. It may have taken 40+ years to bring him to justice for the cold-blooded murders of three young civil rights workers but justice was ultimately served. And when he leaves the land of the living, he shall stand before the ultimate judge for a sentence that will last an eternity. So shall it be with you Karl Rove.

Republican hypocrisy
The Random House definition of hypocrisy reads as follows: a pretense of having desirable or publicly approved attitudes, beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually possess.

Now I am not saying that democrats are saints nor do not have their own personal quirks like any human. We are not perfect. At the same time, right-wing republicans more than anyone else make themselves out to be holier-than-thou, super Christians. They claim to love the Lord and follow the teachings of Jesus but at the same time endorse a war based on lies that have resulted in over one-hundred thousand dead Iraqis and over 1,600 American soldiers. A war of lies wrapped in God and the American flag but soaked in stolen oil and innocent blood.

Their faith-based, Supreme Court appointed President cut short another Texas ranch vacation to fly back to Wash, DC to personally interfere in the personal family matters of Terry and Michael Schiavo but also refuses to support federal funding for expanded stem-cell research that could potentially save the lives of millions. Texas Congressman and GOP pit bull Tom Delay was front and center saying that Terry Schiavo was being starved to death and suffering a fate worse than a dog. He as well as the "main stream & liberal" media failed to mention that Tom Delay himself had given the ok for his own father to be "unplugged" after an accident in the late 80's that left the congressmans father a shell of his former self.

My father is a pastor and I grew up in the church. One thing that I have learned by growing up in the church and being a part and witness to many different congregations and denominations is this - Some of the biggest devils on earth fill church pews every Sunday. Check out the link below and see how "Christian" some of our self-righteous Republican hypocrites are. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

George W. Bush: The Case for his Impeachment
President Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury about his sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Should not President George W. Bush be impeached for blatant lies behind going to war in Iraq? How long is it going to take for the average American citizen to realize that there never were any WMD's and absolutely no link between Saddam Hussein/Iraq and Osama Bin Laden/911. We are there because of Oil people. That's right, Texas tea. And to add insult to injury, Dick Cheney's Halliburton has received Billions of dollars worth of no bid contracts to fix everything we break over there. Talk about a racket. Cheney, Bush, Baker and Rove make the Mafia at their height look like a bunch of pussies. Excuse my French but I'm pissed off.

Tillman's Parents Are Critical Of Army
You know it was very patriotic and heroic for Pat Tillman to give up his NFL career to fight for the United States Army Rangers. The tragedy is that he died for a lie. He believed it and whoever voted for George Bush believed it. They believed that Saddam Hussein and Iraq were harboring Weapons of Mass Destruction and that they were linked with Al Quida, Osama bin Laden and 9/11. They saw Colin Powell speak at the United Nations. Colin had satellite photos and cool 3D renderings of 18 wheelers with James Bond like trailers complete with high tech, mobile chemical labs. But it was just another example of Wag the Dog.

So not only did Pat Tillman give up an NFL career to die for a lie. Once he got over there, his own Army shot him up and killed him. What a fucked up way to die. Adding insult to permanent injury, the Pentagon and the White House used Tillman's death as a patriotic marketing scheme to rally Americans behind another patriot. The White House & Pentagon lied to Tillman's parents, family and the rest of America about the cause of death for months until they could milk the story for all they could.

These people are ruthless. I feel sorry for you if you genuinely believe George Bush is a good guy and doing the right thing. If you believe that, I feel sorry for you and you are a fool. Sorry but you really have to be an idiot not to be able to see through these lies. Well the parents did not appreciate being lied to about the death of their son Pat by this Bush Administration. I did not even hear in the media that the parents had a beef with the White House. See how liberal that media is? So liberal it took the opportunity to remain silent on the parents being critical of Bush & the Pentagon. God help us. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Bad Idea. Laura Bush to Make Solo Middle East Trip
President Bush went to the Georgian capitol of Tbilisi on May 10th and someone threw a live hand grenade about 100 feet from the podium he was speaking from. FBI agent Bryan Paarmann said that it "simply failed to function." Considering how hated the United States is thanks to G.W., I really do not believe it is a good idea for the First Lady Laura to go to the Middle East. Especially after all the Quran crap that has been going on. Oh yeah and let us not forget the little plane that just flew over the Vice Presidents home, Pentagon and CIA headquarters, ignoring fighter warning flares before it finally landed in PA. If something happens to her, G.W. and every radical right winger in this country will be calling for whoever harmed her to be nuked - plain and simple. Maybe that is what they want. A catalyst to kick off WWIII. The sacrificial lamb. Don't think I'm crazy. I wouldn't put it past them. This is big business people.

Those in power know that opinion poll numbers are low, negative and ugly for the President and GOP dominated Congress. They know they may possibly only have until 2006 to advance their radical, neo-con agenda. Karl Rove and Co. understand that Americans are onto their bullshit and they very well might lose the US Senate back to the democrats, and lose significant GOP House seats. That is why they are so anxious and desperate to have quick, dramatic, pro-right wing changes made in Social Security, immigration, bankruptcy law, energy policy, etc. I heard a local right wing radio host today say that the republicans have the majority and should walk all over the democrats and not apologize about it. He went on to say that we have to get these conservative judges confirmed now. Republican politicians would pay at the polls if they did not advance the conservative agenda. And the audacity of the right wing to complain about the (non-existent) liberal media. There is a very evil sense of urgency going on here. I wish Laura a safe trip but think it is a bad idea for her to go. It could fuck things up for us all. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

If you were like most people, you were at work when George Galloway blasted the Oil for Food Senate Committee about taking money from Iraq in return for support in the Parliament. C-SPAN did not even show the testimony. Here it is in video and MP3 format. Scroll down and check it out. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Here is the complete testimony of George Galloway who testified before the Oil-For-Food subcommittee of the US Senate. If only members of the democratic party had such nuts. Well, we did have Howard Dean but the machine shut his ass down real quick just as soon as they saw him cruising to the nomination. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Something odd about the Newsweek story
Something seemed a little odd about the Newsweek story that supposedly triggered deadly riots in Afghanistan. First of all, stories have been out for some time about American & British soldiers desecrating the Quran. It makes no sense that little Newsweek blurb would "trigger" riots when it was old news. Secondly, it was odd that while Newsweek has been the center of the story, little mention has been made on what reporter and/or editor screwed up. I mean it was not just CBS that went down, it was Dan Rather. When the NY Times got in trouble it was because of Jayson Blair. Well here is the scoop on the controversial past of the writer. And this not the first time they have made of mockery of true journalistic integrity. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Demonizing News Media is Attempt to Divert Attention from Policy Failures
The title says it all. First CBS, now Newsweek. The right is always bitching and moaning about this myth we know as "The Liberal Media". There is no liberal media. If there were such a thing they would be having a field day with the constant stream of blunders from the Bush Administration. But the media does not question this administration, period. The secret Downing Street memo - A smoking gun
George W. Bush and his circle of friends knew a long time before weapons inspectors even had a chance to step foot in Iraq that the US would be going to war in Iraq. Here is the secret British memo that is receiving zero attention in the "liberal" media. Imagine that. You would think that with the media being so damn liberal that they would have this memo plastered all over the place. Not a peep of it. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Galloway vs. The US Senate: Transcript of Statement
I almost cried hearing George Galloway of the British Parliament defending himself in Washington, DC against charges of profiting in millions of dollars in the so called U.N. Oil for Food Scandal. He eloquently told the harsh truth of who the real devils are in this right wing witch hunt. Read it. Forward it. Print it out and frame it. It was good to hear such eloquent truth on national tv. Rep. Tom DeLay Took His Own Father Off Life Support in 1988
You know what a rat hypocrite is? Rep. Tom Delay of Texas. This "christian conservative" calls Michael Schiavo, Judges, Democrats, Doctors and anyone else "barbaric" that feels Terry Schiavo should be freed from her vegetative prison and go on to Glory. While he demonizes everyone he should look in the damn mirror. Tom refused treatment for his own father that could have prolonged his dad's life. Republican hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is on the March! War on Iraq (I mean Terror) Two Years Later
It has been two years since we invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq. Since then when have no WMD's, no-bid contracts for Halliburton, deteriorating military recruitment, prison torture, diminished international reputation and respect, billions of taxpayer dollars spent, over 1,500 American troops and 100,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. All this just to say Hussein was captured and purple index fingers. That Iraqi election was handled by the same election producers that brought you Florida and Ohio right here at home. If the media was as liberal as the right wing says they would take the Administration to task for this fiasco as they did a blue dress in the possession of one Monica Lewinsky. Oh and whatever happened to investigations into Armstrong Williams and James Gannon, two of a growing list of journalists paid to promote an administration policy. Take a closer look at the hypocrisy in Iraq we face after two short years after the initial shock and awe. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.

Under Bush, a New Age of Prepackaged TV News
If you have read any of my postings you already know that I feel that President George W. Bush and his Legion of Doom are completely full of shit. Everything is staged with these people. Constant spin, big lies and a complete denial of truth and logic. How anyone could vote for this fucker is beyond me. Actually, I deep down I think he is an ok guy. But when you grow up a priviledged brat and then have a Dick Cheney for an Uncle - you end up being corrupted by default. No longer a candidate - George Bush is the two term Manchurian President. George Orwell, eat your heart out. Check out this link on how your President serves up fake news on a platter. The sad thing is, the "liberal" media and every other major media outlet report the same shit as news. That is why you can turn it on every single news show and get the same shit, basically verbatim. Just like how Gannon took White House press releases and reported them line by line as news. The republicans spin on the fake news? Take a wild guess. They are basically saying, "This is nothing new and something the Clinton administration was engaged in as well". That dog don't hunt friend. The Clinton team supplied raw video footage to media outlets for stories but not fake reporters with fake names and over-hyped pro-administration fake news. Check out the link. The Bush Secret Tapes: Another Look
Remember the brief buzz that came out about the secret Bush tapes? A guy named Wead, an "old friend" of G.W. had secretly taped Bush back in 99 when they were having some candid political conversations. The basic spin from everyone after hearing the tapes was that George seemed to be a decent guy. George said if elected he wasn't going to jump on or discriminate against homosexuals or admit that he had smoked marijuana. Well, everything this White House does is scripted to give you a certain spin. So scripted it's disgusting. Take a closer look at the possible real motivation behind these tapes coming out. Swift Boat and Social Security
Social Security is in crisis. Bullshit. Or should I say Bush shit. The GOP front group SwiftBoat Vets, the same group that got an ungodly amount of undeserved news coverage over frivolous 30 year old Kerry accusations in the 04 presidential election are back in the news. This time they are attacking grandma and grandpa at the AARP. The right-wing SwiftBoat Vets are diverting attention from the debate of facts over Social Security by saying the AARP who is publically against the Bush SS plan has a secret agenda of promoting gay marriage. Jesus Christ. Talk about confusing and already confusing issue. That's right, the SwiftBoat Vets have jumped into the Social Security debate and brought gay marriage with them. What the fuck. $9B Goes Missing In Iraq
The only people truly benefiting from the War on Iraq is the Bush, Cheney, James Baker inner-circle and the rest of their neo-con billionaire boys club. And don't say shit to me about the success of the Iraqi election. We are supposed to be over there to find WMD's. Or were we looking for Bin Laden? Now its about another rigged election. What, you don't think it was rigged just like Florida and Ohio? Come on. There had not been an election in Iraq for what, 40-50yrs? Who do you think showed the Iraqi people how to conduct a fair and balanced election? Or you could legitimately ask who produced the show? Wake up republicans. You cannot be so damn blind. $9 billion bucks is missing that was supposed to go toward humanitarian aid and reconstruction for Iraq. The investigation is underway. That's how I see it. The Bush Budget: Mean as Hell
Friends. I hope every mother fucker in America can plainly see that King George is all about helping his corporate friends. His Rangers were those who could easily lay out $200,000 at fundraisers during his campaign. Those who could only raise $100,000 were demoted to Pioneer status. Well, his budget is a big thank you to his money friends.

Cuts all over the place to the working and middle class. He helped his corporate buds by making it harder for the little guy to receive substantial damages in Class Action lawsuits by moving them from state to federal court. And of course we must not forget he is about to seriously fuck up Social Security while again making his stock market beneficiaries real happy with all those new personal accounts. That's how I see it. Now you check it out.

Gannongate: It's worse than you think
The plot thickens every day with fake reporter/escort Jim Gannon. When the story first broke, people were wondering how this guy with no real journalism background and asking softball questions could get White House access. I mean Talon News, the outfit Gannon was representing was not even a "real" news organization. Oh and of course Gannon is not his real name. Jim Guckert is his real name. But for sanity sake he shall remain Gannon in my book. Talon basically took White House press releases and reported them verbatim as "news". Well - come to find out Talon News did not come into existence until April 2003. Gannon initially received clearance to the White House through GOPUSA. GOPUSA is a right-wing outfit based in guess what state? You got it. Texas.

Thank you Armstrong Williams. You finally started a long overdue debate about the Bush propaganda machine. It is amazing that right-wing politicians and media mouths claim there is a liberal media. Give me a fucking break. Here is an update from Eric Boehlert and Salon.com.

Bamboozled Patriots: Supporting Our Troops
The following link is a great piece written by the father of a soldier being deployed to Iraq. Just yesterday I was telling a friend how silly people looked driving around with Support Our Troops magnets on their cars. So sadly naive they are. Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34 RSV) If these genuine, yet bamboozled patriots really supported our beloved troops, they would not buy into the blatant and obvious lies that the W on the other side of their bumper sold them. Where are all the Mission Accomplished stickers at? If you want to support the troops then challenge the motives, track record and competence of G.W. Bush. It is ok to accept the fact that you were lied to and taken advantage of by this administration and it's bought and paid for media outlets. You may be embarrassed but God forgives you. Black Scholars Boycotting Black History Month.
If you believe the mainstream media, you would think that there is a vast multitude of black leaders who are boycotting speaking engagements and events during February - Black History month. They claim they they are tired of being "pimped-out" in February then forgotten the rest of the year. Well boo-fucking-hoo. Maybe you don't get invitations during the rest of the year because you are shallow year round. Anyway, don't believe the hype. There are only a handful of uppity "scholars" (whose shit don't stank) that feel they are too good to go to Black History Month events. Well fine if you want to be like that. See people, these are the same rare Negroes you will also find planted behind George Bush or Dick Cheney at their speaking engagements. Planted strategically so that they show up grinning on the tv and in print. 5,000 white people in the audience and 3 of "us" right over the shoulder of the President or maybe even next to him on a stool. Bush/Conservative Double Talk
George W. Bush, your appointed President is uncanny at double talk. Saying one thing and completely meaning another. No doubt Karl Rove is behind the new emphasis on certain buzz words. Rove brought new life and a permanent place in presidential election history to the word Flip-Flop. Do you know what the new name for "men-of-color" of all races and nations that stand in the way of neo-conservative domination? Think about it for a second. Times up. Thugs. Yes, the new and improved noun for dark skin men.

New Drug from the Makers of Zoloft: Based on G.W. Bush
The manufacturers of Zoloft, a popular antidepressant, announced today that they would begin work on a pill that encapulates President Bush's mental disposition. "No matter how bad things are, this pill will make you believe everything is really great," said Betty Garland, a spokesman for Pfizer. "We think this pill will be a best seller."

Indeed, preliminary research indicates that the so-called "W is for Wonderful" pill will induce a state of blissful, ignorant euphoria among its users. The idea for the pill arose after polls showed that a whopping 77 per cent of the American people who watched Bush's address felt that "all was right with the world" after hearing the speech. This same group of listeners felt that their most pressing concerns involved choosing a new upgrade for their riding mower and finding a dishwashing detergent that doesn't cause "unsightly spotting."

The pill will be marketed under the slogan, "Come on! Drink the Kool-Aid!'
Side effects of the pill include blindness, dizziness, addiction,
deafness, hypocrititis, ovationoriasis -- an inability to refrain from giving a standing ovation to the most shallow homily --as well as ever-increasing debt and susceptibility to a military draft. (Courtesy 2/9/05 Tomburka.com)

Jeff Gannon: White House Correspondent & Gay Porn Pimp

Jeff Gannon was acting as a White House Correspondent for Talon News. He just got busted. This is a real juicy story. Armstrong Williams was the first in what I think will be a great number of right wing media scandals. First of all, Gannon has no journalistic credentials. Second, Talon News is a right wing republican front run by a republican player in (you guessed it) Texas. Jeff Gannon is not even his real name. How did he get White House clearance using a fake name? It does nothing but promote the right wing agenda and is very homo-phobic. Ironic as their own White House press boy also owned domain names and operated some hardcore gay sex sites like hotmilitarystud.com, militaryescorts.com and militaryescortsm4m.com.

Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with those sights. If that's your thing, pay for the membership. But Jeff, don't be a bitch and denounce gay marriage and condemn Sponge Bob Squarepants for being gay while at the same time making money selling memberships to gay hardcore sex sites. And by that pic of yours Jeff, you look like you are ready for some Iraqi Freedom yourself :) Check out the rest of the story here:

NBC's Brian Williams - Fair and Balanced?
You know with this major liberal media bias we have here in America, it is ok if a few of our major network anchors have neo-con tendencies right? No. There is no liberal media bias. There is no liberal media. The "liberal media" was a bullshit excuse for the GOP back in the 80's. It was the excuse they used when their policies and ideas failed. Kinda reminds me of the bad guys who got caught at the end of Scooby Doo cartoons. When those charachters failed in their devious missions, they always said, "I would have gotten away with it to, if it werent for those pesky kids!" After failure, the Repubs would always say, "We could get our policies passed, if it weren't for that damn liberal media!"

So why does everyone believe there is a liberal media? Because America has been told there is a liberal media day in and day out since the late 80's. Every day, every hour on the hour. There isn't even the remote resemblance of fair and balanced opinion on tv or radio. Well, let us add to the ranks of another liberal media presence who apparently isnt that liberal.
