Marketing the Military

The U.S. Army has doubled its advertising budget since 2000 to almost $290 million. Last year the federal government spent about $1.2 billion on advertising, much of it for the military. Recruitment numbers are at an all time low because young people see the nonsense of what is called the War on Terror being played out in Iraq. Recruitment numbers will increase when young people who want genuinely want to defend this great nation can once again trust their leaders. The Bush White House and right wing Congress have dealt a detrimental blow to this country. If you really support our troops, remove the right wing congressional majority in 2006. We can do our military some justice if power hungry, money motivated, lawyers and mouth pieces are thrown out of D.C. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.
