Trent Lott Shows His True Patriotic Colors

Former Senate Majority leader Trent Lott was on Anderson Cooper 360 today. You may remember Lott lost his Majority Leader position after saying the "The United States would have avoided all these problems if we had elected Strom Thurmond President in 1948." Thurmond was a racist Dixiecrat who ran for President in 1948. During the interview with Lott, Anderson was asking the Senator about the public being critical of the 5 day delay response in assistance. In response Sen. Lott said, "Quite frankly, this is not a time for complaining." Trent, I know you lost your beach house in Mississippi but %uck you anyway. You have a salary, house, car, future, everything that the displaced citizens (not refugees) of New Orleans do not have. This is a ranking Republican in the Senate people. It's 2005 not 1955. Enough said. I'm Chaz Atlas and that's how I see it.
Comments:
It's amazing that Trent Lott said that the government is doing a great job in his state, but the reality is that one of the Congressman said they needed help. So, people from here are bring supplies down there to areas not being serviced by the Red Cross.
